Barbara Brown Jernigan studied
art at Georgia Southern College and with nationally famous watercolorists,
Nita Engels, Skip Lawrence, Christopher Schink, Bryan Ateyo Ted Minchin
and, most recently, George James.
Though she works as CEO/CFO
for a local payroll and human resource provider as an accounting consultant
to a number of businesses, she still devotes time to teaching watercolor,
and to her own painting. She studied art at Georgia Southern College
and with nationally famous watercolorists, Nita Engels, Skip Lawrence,
Christopher Schink, Bryan Ateyo Ted Minchin and, most recently, George
James
She is President of the Tennessee
Watercolor Society, a member of the Watauga Art League, Kingsport Art Guild,
Florida Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, National
League of American Pen Women, and serves as co-chairman of the annual Newell
Hendershot Watermedia Exhibition. In 2011, she received the
YWCA Tribute to Women Award. She exhibits in local, state,
S.E. regional and national watercolor shows.
